You are here: HES Progress > Duke of Edinburgh Award
Outdoor Learning

At Hospital Education we are committed to ensuring that all young people are offered a full, varied and wide curriculum including opportunities for wider achievement. The Duke of Edinburgh Award equips young people for life regardless of their background, culture, physical ability, skills and interests. Doing the Award is a personal challenge which allows young people to develop new skills and recognises their achievements. During the session 2024 -25 we had over 20 young people sign up for the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award. Young people develop their transferable skills by completing their skills, physical and volunteering sections of the award. These sections are offered with adaptations to their specific needs and wants and we at HES are committed to ensuring that any potential barriers to learning are overcome.
